REAR FACING INSTRUCTIONS

Infants 2 Months +


STEP 1

Unbuckle cross-strap buckles and place carrier on shoulders with the MOLLE webbing/hook & loop side facing outwards away from you.

STEP 2

Secure cross-strap buckles and adjust straps to fit comfortably.

STEP 3

Release both shoulder straps. Undo one swivel buckle to allow room to place the baby in carrier.

STEP 4

Holding the baby securely against your chest, guide one leg through the still closed swivel buckle strap.

STEP 5

Fasten the open swivel buckle. Adjust the straps on each side to secure the baby.

STEP 6

Connect shoulder buckles. Open lock on shoulder buckles and pull strap down to adjust carrier height.

STEP 7A

When the carrier is adjusted correctly, the baby’s head should rest about your shoulder height.

Per the IHDI, the baby’s resting position should be: Thighs spread around the parent’s torso and the hips bent so the knees are slightly higher than the buttocks with the thighs supported.

FRONT FACING INSTRUCTIONS

6 months+


STEP 1

Secure cross-strap buckles and adjust straps to fit comfortably. Release flap buckles and clip into pocket buckles to secure pull-down flap.

Release both shoulder straps. Undo one swivel buckle to allow room to place the baby in carrier.

Holding the baby securely against your chest, guide one leg through the still closed swivel buckle strap.

INCLUDED ACCESSORIES


REMOVABLE BIB

For use when baby is facing out, the removable bib comes stored in the carrier, secured by hook and loop. Remove it from the interior and use the hook and loop on the pull-down flap to attach it there. The removable bib is machine washable and can be easily cleaned in case of spit-up.

CLIP-IN SUNSHADE

For use when baby is facing in, the clip-in sunshade comes stored in the carrier, secured by interior buckles. Extend the sunshade over the baby’s head and connect the magnetic clips at the top of the shade to those located above the shoulder strap buckles.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirements: 8 lb (3.5 kg) and 21 in (53 cm). Maximum weight: 33 lbs (15 kg)

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

Spot clean carrier with mild diluted detergent. Do not use chlorine bleach or fabric softener. NEVER IRON! Improper care will void any and all warranties.

SAFETY APPROVAL

The Tactical Baby Carrier® meets the safety requirements for baby carriers (ASTM F2236-13).


IMPORTANT!

    Baby must face you until he or she is 6 months old as recommended by the International Hip Dysplasia Institute. Premature infants, infants with respiratory problems, and infants under 4 months are at greatest risk of suffocation. Never use a soft carrier when balance or mobility is impaired because of exercise, drowsiness, or medical conditions. Avoid dressing your child too warmly. Never wear a soft carrier while driving or as a passenger in a motor vehicle.
    Never use a soft carrier while engaging in activities such as cooking and cleaning, or anything that involves a significant heat source or exposure to chemicals. The baby carrier is NOT suitable for use during sports or other leisure activities. Check to assure all buckles, snaps, straps, and adjustments are secure before each use. Check for ripped seams, torn straps or fabric, and damaged fasteners before each use. Read all instructions before assembling and using the soft carrier. Keep instructions for future use. 

WARNING! FALL AND SUFFOCATION HAZARD

FALL HAZARD

    Infants can fall through carrier openings if not adjusted and used properly. Use caution at all times when baby is in carrier. Hold your baby closely at all times until correctly attached. Make sure baby’s legs are straddling the seat and arms are extended through arm holes. Before each use, make sure all buckles are secure. Take special care when leaning or walking. Never bend at waist while wearing this carrier. Always bend at the knee. This baby carrier is designed for use by adults while walking or standing only. Only use this baby carrier for children between 8 lb / 3.5 kg (21 in/53 cm) and 33 lb/15 kg. Ensure proper placement of child in product including leg placement. Your balance may be adversely affected by your own or your child’s movements. Never use a damaged baby carrier. This baby carrier must not be used as a back carrier.

SUFFOCATION HAZARD

    Infants under 4 months can suffocate in product if face is pressed tight against your body. Do not strap baby too tight against your body. Allow room for head movement. Keep infant’s face free from obstructions at all times. Never lie down or sleep with baby in the baby carrier. Inspect the baby carrier regularly for any signs of wear and tear.
