Our Tactical Weapon Carrier is a unique variable capacity tactical scabbard. It is expandable and collapsible in both circumference and length, the muzzle end is reinforced with Hypalon, has drain ports, and a drag loop. It fits man-portable weapons such as sniper rifles, AR-Class weapons, etc.
The Tactical Weapon Carrier works well as a tactical weapon-sized scabbard for several Eberlestock packs, including the Terminator, Warhammer, Jackhammer, Little Brother, and Skycrane II. It has semi-rigid sidewalls designed to hold the scabbard open when a packs load compresses it, making it easier to insert and extract a weapon. The Tactical Weapon Carrier also works well as a stand-alone product, either as an excellent gun case or as a snipers drag bag.聽 It can also be used as the foundation for a minimalist pack: add a shoulder harness and a set of our Accessory Straps, and the Tactical Weapon Carrier becomes a BackScabbard pack, to which you can add an assortment of pockets and build your own modular pack system. It features grasp/carry handles on the middle edges of the scabbard, allowing easy at center-of-gravity carry of a weapon. Includes a butt cover, to allow you to fully enclose a weapon up to 60" long.
TECHNICAL SPECS
Took the scabbard and backpack moose hunting in Alaska and it was perfect for protect my rifle from the elements. It carried it well on the backpack and was a needed accessory which made the rifle nice and dry.
Fits larger rifles than your standard scabbard. Great build quality. Only gripe is I wish it had a zipper at the base so for longer rifles the gun would stick less out of the top.
For whoever is looking at whether they want this weapon scabbard I will say it's fantastic. It takes a bit to get it rigged onto the eberlestock frame but once it's there it's very secure, it's easy on optics, and it's a very good addition to a pack setup as well as a carry bag alone. It's great really happy with this purchase
Great item, really secures the rifle well and only have 2 things I would comment on as a user..
1.) I run a Harris bipod on the rifle that primarily goes into it and it is a very tight fit with the 20鈥?barrel. I cannot use it with my PRS rifle with the LRA bipod as it it too wide for this scabbard. If I had a rifle without a bipod it would be a non issue but have them on all my rifles.
2.) As mentioned I am using this for a 20鈥?rifle so the cover is a tad long and I have to fold it up inside itself to get it to secure. Not a huge issue and would definitely want the length of running a longer rifle.
Those 2 things are the only issues I have but that鈥檚 due to my kit confit but overall it鈥檚 a great piece, I have a LOT of their gear and love it all, and glad I grabbed the scabbard so abound having to take an extra case to the range!m and look forward to attaching it to my framed pack in the future!
Just installed this plus the endo frame into my little brother pack. The rifle won't fit if the pack is loaded up. You can insert the rifle, then fill your pack. Not vise versa. With the little brother, the rifle will protrude into your back hitting all the pressure points. I changed the way I loaded my pack and I am able to insert the rifle if the pack is on its side, but it's a nightmare. I'm concerned that I will damage my optic with how tight it becomes when you pick it up to dawn the pack. There are no videos on how to install the scabbard let alone the frame. I did end up installing the frame inside the main compartment, and not the scabbard tunnel. Any help would be appreciated. Customer service said this scabbard would co-exist with the endo frame by placing the frame inside the main compartment. For reference I load it with a tripod and spotting scope on the sides, 120 round ammo novel, 2 heavy fill shooting bags, 2 sets of ear muffs, rain gear, a thin roll of paper towels, bit driver kit, emergency cleaning supplies for a rifle, bino plate for my tripod and range finder in the main compartment. Mags, extra rounds, dope book and odds and end things in the top. With all of this, the pack nears 30 pounds and causes the scabbard to become tight. Am I doing something wrong? Everyone is saying how easy it is to get in and out with the walls staying up. Mine is not the case.
**UPDATE**
After Eberlestock reached out we managed to figure out what was going on. It's still a little hard to get the rifle into the scabbard fully loaded but it works.
Nice Drybag
Just what I needed. As always the best quality and materials. This keeps my tactical rifle protected and easily accessible in my patrol truck.
Recently received this scabbard, which comes with an attachable cover for the butt end. As expected, the quality is very good, as are the other products I own from Eberlestock.
The scabbard fit perfectly to the mainframe freeing up my hands. Made for pistol grip stocks.
Bought to add to my skycrane 2 for an upcoming elk hunt. My bergara fits perfect and it doesn't move around inside the scabbard. My AR fit great as well
