The ButtBucket is a simple and effective way to add a bow-carry option to the Eberlestock EMOD system, primarily built around the Mainframe, or a number of stand alone packs. Using two simple straps/buckles to loop onto the frame or MOLLE webbing, the ButtBucket will hang below the pack to place the bow on the user's back where it can be reached and released for quick-access without removing the pack.聽

Very versatile. I use it for grappling, odd object and sharp object securing, and bottom of pack securement. Worth it.
I鈥檝e been trying to figure out a way to lash my show shoes to my jackhammer pack. Using the butt bucket I can put my snowshoes and my shovel. Great addition to my SAR pack!
The Butt Bucket is great - it attaches to the F1 very easily and securely and it holds my Crossbow great. I am very happy with this purchase!
I bought the butt bucket after conferring with Eberlestock. I am a crossbow hunter. I asked Eberlestock if the butt bucket accepted a crossbow. Eberlestock's answer was, "Yes it fits and fits well." Well, it does not. I think I can still use it, but it does not fit well; it think my bow would be just as secure without it.
Works as expected, very good purchase.
I like the bucket and holds my Hoyt dinosaur of a bow well. The trouble I have is positioning it with two batwings on the mainframe. I can鈥檛 put it behind the packs because of accessibility, and on front of the pack sitting on the mainframe shelf makes the butt bucket obsolete. I think it is a good tool in the hunting tool kit, just not sure on the application for what I run with the M1 mainframe.
Use my new butt bucket on an archery hunt in Utah last week. It totally secured my bow to my pack so I could have both hands free to work through the woods. The only thing I would change would be to make it a little more wide so that my bow would sit completely down in the bucket.
Does not fit my bow well and it鈥檚 a pain to mount
This buttbucket may work great for someone else's setup but I didn't like it for mine. I use the large dry bag between two batwings. As bulky as my set up was with 7days worth of gear, there was no way for me to reach my bow. This made the quick release buckle useless. Which leads to my biggest complaint. I hate the way the strap connects to the packs shoulder straps. To get the bow strapped down tight, it pulls the shoulder straps back into an uncomfortable position to carry. When I did carry my bow on my pack the compression straps did all the work as the buttbucket would just fall off the bow most of the time. Again, this may work great for the vapor (still need a better way to utilize the quick release buckle) but for my setup, I wasn't impressed.
Great quality and attention to detail.
