PACK FEATURES
With regard to the possible types of use, designed absolutely perfectly to the last detail, excellently made of first-class materials, the best I have ever had the opportunity to use.
Eberlestock sets the standard for all other pack companies and the Operator lives up to that standard. Well constructed and more than enough room for all your gear.
Plenty of room for a rifle and large bag as well. The only complaint that I have is that the bag can shift around in relation to the scabbard, but otherwise, a fantastic pack that will last a lifetime.
Just incredible well built and the options for loadouts are immense
I used my G4 Operator on a backpacking trip with the Boy Scouts in New Mexico. I was able to fit everything that I needed for a 7 day trek, as well as extra medical gear, comfortably. The pack performed well, and with proper adjustment, fit and rode perfectly. I did fasten my sleeping bag and ground pad to the outside of the pack with other brand straps. The webbing held up wonderfully. Being a Scouting trek, I did not use my scabbard area for a firearm. I did use it to hold my heavy duty emergency blanket, my ground cloth for my tent, and my map in a protective sleeve (zip-lock bag). With all of my gear and food, the pack weighed in at 68 Lbs and I had no problems at all with the comfort. I will say that the pack itself, was a little heavier than my fellow hiker's packs, however, I had no failures or repairs needed during or after our trek, unlike some of the other participants. I had compliments on the pack from other hikers and rangers. I bought my G4 Operator second hand from a gentleman that was looking to purchase a bigger pack from Eberlestock. I will say that I am very pleased with my G4 and because of how well that it performed, and the comfort / fit, I will be purchasing other items and gear from Eberlestock.
This bag is huge well made and can handle lots of weight! I have the gunslinger 2 and this bag is very much larger than the gunslinger. Both are quality packs one is smaller and one is huge! Can鈥檛 wait to pack this bag out and hike ! This is my 3 rd bag greatest quality
Best ruck I鈥檝e put on my back! The amount of room is amazing, and you hardly know it鈥檚 there. Would recommend for anyone operationally or for a bug out bag. Eblerstock is the way to go!
total quality handles everything from hunting to survival ready... i'm now looking at buying a gunslinger 2 for my son... i'm a firm supporter of Eberlestock.
I compared everything available on the market and had absolutely no budget constraints
I took this bag (in unicam) overseas three times. Bag held up better than I did on the third tour. I pulled a lot of overwatch so the built in scabbard is a must. Pro tip: extra space is under the bottom of the scabbard. Pull out the bottom and there is a giant gap between the scabbard and bag. Enough for me to slide a low pro shelter in there. Eberlestock has the best gear bags hands down. Wish they made other gear for operators. G4S appreciates you!
Fits everything I need for a 5 day pack with room to spare
