The Vapor 5000™ is the larger option of our ultra-lightweight series of EMOD™ packs with a capacity of 5000 cubic inches. Designed specifically around the Mainframe™ (Mainframe not included), the Vapor Series is our most versatile and lightweight pack system. The 5000 has all of the same great features as our smaller 2500 pack but in a large size with a roll top.

External features include extended depth stretch pockets to retain drink bottles, spotting scopes, tripods, etc. The center front panel utilizes the same 140D two-way stretch material to create a zippered pocket for items requiring quick access. Camouflage options use 450D Aramid reinforced ripstop while solid colourways have 500D Nylon ripstop construction. Removable Duraflex HD 25mm buckles allow you to expand the pack from the frame and create a channel to carry meat bags or heavy loads close to body and center of gravity.

The Vapor series (both 2500 and 5000c.i. options) are compatible with the EMOD Lid, which attaches to the Vapor and Mainframe system in 4 locations using quick-detach gatekeeper buckles. The EMOD Lid allows you to add additional capacity to the Vapor for smaller items and utilize the Lid to compress items between it and the top of the Vapor pack.

Large enough for extended trips, but compressible enough to use on a day hunt.

I recently purchased the Eberlestock, F1 Mainframe and Vapor 5000 V2 to use both as a backpacking pack during the off-season as well as a pack to take a hunting with me on eastern Whitetail deer hunts. I first considered the 2500 as I was a little concerned that the 5000 might be a little too large, but I still wanted that volume for my overnight backpacking trips, so I decided on the 5000 instead of the 2500. I’m glad I did my first trip out this past weekend I loaded up my kill kit a first aid kit, and a few other items that I wanted to make sure I had on me just in case something happened. I also threw in my rain jacket and some camera equipment. When it was all said and done I was far from filling the vapor 5000, however, the compression straps on the main frame as well as the compression straps on the vapor 5000 allowed me to snuggly fit everything into the pack and to add a camp chair to use in a ground blind and keep it all from rattling around on the walk into my hunting area. What I found was that the Mainframe with the new Vapor 5000 pack worked great for carrying my camera equipment and day hunting load when compressed down but also had plenty of room to add enough gear to be an extended stay backpack as well when I’m heading out for a multi day trip. I absolutely love my Mainframe and Vapor 5000 V2 pack and I’m looking forward to expanding what I have to use with it.
